The High Holy Days are upon us, and for many Christians, that means very little. Many Christians follow liturgical calendars, which have little to no connection with the Jewish calendar. So why does it matter?
The Levitical Feasts are not just for Israel, they are for all of God’s people. As the illustrated guide demonstrates, the feasts highlight attributes of God, they memorialize a historic event, they create a culture for God’s people, they point to the Messiah, and they mark the end times.
God was very purposeful in setting up these feasts. Each appointed time was specific, not just in remembering the past, but also in looking forward to the future. While we may be free from the Law, there is much we can learn and appreciate about our faith by studying these seven important feasts.
